The Town That Moved Itself

Fairborn is two villages that became one. Fairfield was founded in 1816, Osborn in 1850. After the 1913 flood the Huffman Dam went in, and it put Osborn inside the new flood pool — so from 1920 the village moved. Around two hundred houses and as many outbuildings were jacked up, hauled across by mule and tractor, and set back down on new foundations. The two merged in 1950, taking half a name each.

Then the base did the rest. Between 1950 and 1970 the town grew to roughly six times its size on Wright-Patterson, which is why so much of Fairborn is one twenty-year cohort of houses and concrete, all reaching the same age together.

It is a genuinely unusual exterior job for that reason: pre-1920 buildings and 1960s tract housing in the same day's work, wanting completely different treatment.

Nearby we also work Beavercreek, and closer to home Tipp City, Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights and Dayton.

We're Not Local to Fairborn, But We're Here Most Weeks

Our shop is in Tipp City, which is a proper drive from here rather than the five minutes it is to Troy or Vandalia. We would rather say that than pretend we are around the corner.

What it does not mean is a surcharge. We have enough work down here that we are in Greene County most weeks anyway, so Fairborn is priced exactly the same as Tipp City or Troy — no travel fee, no minimum, nothing added for the distance. You get the whole number before anyone starts, and it does not move on the day.

Working in Fairborn — FAQ

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, call or text (937) 939-2936.

Yes, and often. It is a proper drive rather than a five-minute hop, which we would rather say than pretend otherwise — but we have enough work in Greene County to be down this way most weeks, and there is no travel charge for it. Fairborn is priced the same as anywhere else we go.
All of it — the older streets around the original two villages, the base-boom neighborhoods, and everything built since. Bath Township too.
Yes, and it is worth doing anywhere we work rather than a distance thing. If two or three houses on a street want the same day it is a better trip for us and we price it accordingly.
Beavercreek is the other Greene County town we work. Closer to home we are in Tipp City, Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights and Dayton constantly.
